Yayasan As-Shofa was founded on May 2, 1991 — Indonesia’s National Education Day, a meaningful date that reflects its lifelong commitment to education. Founded by Alm. Ust. Drs. H. Syafwi Khalil, M.Pd, a mubaligh of IKMI, the foundation began with a simple yet powerful dream, to create a school system that integrates strong academics, Islamic values, and full-day character development. The foundation expanded its commitment to holistic education. Nowadays, Sekolah Islam As-Shofa provides complete levels of education : Playgroup (est. 2026), Kindergarten (est. 2005), Elementary School (est. 1991), Junior High School (est. 2000), and Senior High School (est. 2007) — at its main school building on Jl. Tuanku Tambusai Ujung / Jl. As-Shofa, Pekanbaru. Alhamdulillah, all educational levels are fully accredited with an “A” rating.
